This weekend spoken word artist Christopher D. Sims, aka UniverSouLove, will visit the Unitarian Universalist Society: East in Manchester, CT. Chris is a friend of mine from Rockford, Illinois. We’ve connected over the years through antiracism work within the Unitarian Universalist Association. We’ve written a poem together which we will present to the congregation in worship on Sunday morning. The poem, entitled “P.E.A.C.E.,” is set to Miles Davis’ “All Blues” and will be accompanied by a live jazz band. Chris will also perform at the UUS:E coffee house on Saturday night.
